The 4th edition of the HACKATHON 2019 competition took place from 22 to 23 November 2019 in the BVV Brno congress pavilion in cooperation of AT&T, JA Czech, Hardwario, CZ.NIC and FabLab.
This year's main theme was Technologies for the Future and the aim was to create a functional prototype application within 24 hours. The categories were Smart Village, Smart Factory, Smart Office, Device, Grid & Infrastructure security.
Our school was represented by a combined team of students from P4 (Marek Dohnal, Vojtěch Frömmel, Radek Kučera, Martin Přívozník, Ondřej Rethy) and E4A (Vojtěch Petrásek). Their application allows monitoring of conditions during transport and storage of goods.
In addition to professional knowledge and skills, the students have demonstrated mental and physical endurance and teamwork abilities and as well as communication skills in English - all the instructions, communication with mentors and presentations in front of the jury of representatives of the companies took place in English.
We did not get to the podium this time, but the students gained a lot of experience and adventure.
In any case, they deserve praise for representing the school.
